Rich, coconutty, zingy and chocolaty. This vegan breakfast is indulgent, high in protein and actually healthy.

Imagine mixing the classic chocolate - orange combination with a bounty chocolate bar....

There’s nothing quite like a chocolatey oats to start off the day! Chocolate & orange is one of my absolute favourite flavour combination and with the addition of the coconut and the chocolate protein powder it takes it to another level.

Coconut, Mandarin & Chocolate Protein Oats

These overnight oats are amazing for so many reasons. One of them being the fact that they literally take 5 minutes to make.

Make a batch of this the night before and you have yourself a quick and easy on-the-go breakfast which is not only high in protein, but also healthy.

The combination of fiber, protein, healthy fats and complex carbohydrates provides you with energy to fuel you all morning long.

Coconut, Mandarin & Chocolate Protein Oats

ALTERNATIVES & RECOMMENDATIONS

  • You can substitute the mandarin with fresh orange

  • For a gluten-free option, make sure to use a gluten-free certified oats

  • I recommend using an unsweetened cacao powder to keep it refined-sugar free

  • For a nut-free version, omit the nut-butter or substitute with a seed butter.

  • After removing the mandarin segments, I love squeezing what is left of the juice in the fruit (or skin) over my breakfast.

  • If you are not a fan of banana, omit or use maple syrup to sweeten the breakfast.

  • If you don't have protein powder, simply omit.

WILL THIS BREAKFAST KEEP?

Yes, it will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for 2 - 3 days.
