Tahini Cinnamon Smoothie

Nutty and warming cinnamon spiced. A creamy, rich smoothie providing good nutrition. I love adding the collagen boosting tremella powder to add even more health benefits.

YOU WILL NEED
A good quality tahini
Hemp seeds
A banana
Ground cinnamon
Almond milk or milk of choice
Tremella mushroom powder (optional but recommended)
ice cubes (optional)
NOT TOO SWEET
I love the sweetness level of this smoothie. It is not too sweet and just right in my opinion.
If you prefer a sweeter smoothie you can add a few Medjool dates or a drizzle of honey.

WHAT MAKES THIS SMOOTHIE HEALTHY
TAHINI
Tahini is a paste made from sesame seeds and has a delicious nutty flavour. It is one of my favourite ingredients to use in both sweet and savoury. Make sure to use a good quality tahini. It is packed with healthy fats, minerals and vitamins (including iron, calcium and magnesium) and is rich in important nutrients such as protein, selenium and fibre.
HEMP SEEDS
Hemp seeds are high in zinc, iron, magnesium and are also a complete protein source containing all 9 essential amino acids.
BANANA
As we all know, is high in potassium.
CINNAMON
Adds a delicious flavour and is high in dietary fiber.
TREMELLA POWDER
This mushroom powder is a nutrient dense superfood and is also known as a vegan collagen.

Serves: 1
INGREDIENTS
1 small banana
1 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp hempseeds
1 tsp tremella mushroom powder
1 cup almond milk or milk of choice
ice cubes (optional)
1/2 tsp cinnamon (adjust to your liking)
INSTRUCTIONS
Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth.
Pour into a glass and dust with cinnamon
